History

Castons was established by Mr J Parmenter in Ipswich in 1895. Since our formation we have worked on an enormous variety of building projects from workhouses at the end of the 19th century to sophisticated microchip production facilities in the 20th century and eco-friendly buildings in the 21st century.

We have grown through merger with Henry King & Partners in 1991 and in 2001 through our acquisition of JRM Partnership in London.

In 1995 we estabilished CCAS Ltd which undertakes health & safety services. In particular it addresses the client obligation services under the construction (Design and Management Regualtion.)

In 2002 we formed Castons Consulting Ltd as a subsidiary of Castons to provide more flexibility in appointments with corporate clients. In 2005 we opened our St. Ives office near Cambridge giving us a strong presence across the country.

Throughout our history, whilst technology and the range of services that we provide has changed enormously, we still adhere to the fundamental belief of commitment to providing a professional service.
